Ceasefire Dead on Arrival: Lebanon Exclusion Triggers Hormuz Re-Closure
The ceasefire that was supposed to end the campaign collapsed on its first day over a fault line that was visible before the ink dried. Israel explicitly excluded Lebanon from the truce. Within hours, the IDF launched what it described as "the largest attack carried out against Hezbollah's infrastructure since the start of Operation Roaring Lion": 100+ targets struck in 10 minutes across Beirut, southern Lebanon, and the Bekaa Valley, including five Corniche al-Mazraa neighbourhoods in central Beirut hit without warning (IDF statement, PBS, Al Jazeera, 8 Apr).
